Christine was welcomed into the Eastern Bay Community Foundation team as a volunteer in mid 2020, and has since been appointed to the Foundation Board in May 2023 continuing in the role of treasurer, working closely with our Whakatane based financial advisors Rural Accountants. 

Christine represents the Ohiwa and Opotiki region. 

Christine grew up in Opotiki as part of a large family, attended Opotiki College and is a retired pharmacist, previously owning and operating an essential business in Opotiki for many years.

Christine lives on the edge of the Ohiwa Harbour, currently renovating her well positioned home to maximise its potential. Christine is a very supportive daughter to her ageing father and sister to her family. Christine brings a warmth and enthusiasm to the team, as well as meticulous book keeping skills. 

Christine is also involved in the Distributions and Grants Committee, and the Finance, Audit, Risk & Investment Committee.
