Robyn Woolsey Trustee

Robyn Woolsey

Robyn was appointed to the Foundation Board in 2018, representing the Ohope and Opotiki communities.

Robyn is a company director of the Cape Fruit Company Ltd and a shareholder in the community owned Open Ocean Greenshell Mussells.

Robyn and her late husband Kim, ran a charter boat ( Mazarine) out of Whakatane for a number of years and jet boat tours on the Motu River. Robyn represented the tourism sector in many promotional forums. Now her time is spent actively involved in the operation of her families' horticultural interests at Tirohanga and on the Edgecumbe Plains.

Robyn has been a strong supporter of the Motu Trails Charitable Trust as a volunteer and trustee, also contributing her time and skills to the long running Fibre and Fleece Festival which was held biannually in Opotiki.  Her ethos of caring for others in the community has led to her quietly supporting those in need in the Opotiki and wider Whakatane community, particularly advocating for women who have a breast cancer diagnosis.

Robyn is a busy and involved business woman, a keen intrepid traveller, hands on grandmother and enthusiastic mountain and trail bike rider. She enjoys her garden and the lush natural environment in the Eastern Bay.  She is patiently applying her project management skills to the building of her new home at Ohope's West-end beach.

Robyn brings astute business skills to the Foundation table and a strong network of contacts within the tourism and horticultural sectors across the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Currently Robyn serves on the Distributions and Grants Committee of the Board.
